"There is no alternative to building skilled human resources," he said when a five-member delegation of Bangladesh Students' Welfare Trust, led by its chairman Dr Ashraf Siddiqui, met him at Bangabhaban.

Appreciating the President for his latest role, the delegation members said the country's people expressed gratitude to him for his recent decision that brought back relief to public life.

The President praised the trust for its various welfare activities and assured the delegation of all possible cooperation.

Secretary to the President M Sirajul Islam, trust director Prof Sharifuddin Ahmed, Prof Hosn-e-Ara Begum, Dr MA Halim Patwari and HM Noor-e-Alam Talukder were present on the occasion.
