CMCH employee found dead


A body of an employee of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) was recovered from the hospital area yesterday afternoon.

The victim identified as Uttam Kumar Das, 28, son of Lalit Mohan Das, hailing from Noakhali was a fourth class employee and working in the Mental ward of the hospital.

Sources said some local boys while playing in the CMCH ground found the body hanging from a tree in the hilly area behind the hospital at around 4:45pm.

Uttam worked last at the ward on Monday and has been missing since then.

CMCH Fourth Class Employers' Association General Secretary (GS) Samir Kanti Dev told The Daily Star that Uttam had been suffering from mental disorder for long.
