Political Rivalry
AL activist's poultry farm destroyed in Rajshahi

Rivals of an Awami League activist killed 180 ducks of his poultry farm at Char Khidirpur village in Motihar on Wednesday out of political vengeance.

A local BNP leader along with his associates stormed into the farm and killed the ducks by strangulation, stabbing and breaking necks, sources said.

AL activist Abdus Samad lodged a complaint with the police yesterday.

There were 500 ducks in the poultry farm, sources said.

The attackers also looted most of the remaining ducks at the dead of night.

Abdus Samad blamed BNP adherent Azad and his men for the attack.
