Earlier, the court rejected their bail prayer. Police also did not seek for any remand for the accused. As the counsels for the accused prayed for granting bail to the accused, many lawyers present at the court vehemently protested it. The joint forces on Tuesday arrested five people, including three police officers, for taking Tk 15 lakh as bribe inside Fatulla Police Station in Narayanganj to get released a huge amount of rotten wheat seized earlier. Earlier, an official of Rab-11 filed a case with Fatullah Police Station, but police recorded it as a general diary. Besides, police sources said the three police officials were not kept in the lock up of the police station on Wednesday night rather they were kept at a house inside the police station compound. Police did not allow any reporter to enter the compound at that time. A huge contingent of police also barred photojournalists from taking any snap of the accused policemen when they were being taken to the court.
