LDP leaders embarrassed over Oli's comment

Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) leaders feel embarrassed for a recent interview of its executive president Oli Ahmed.

LDP leaders of its different front organisations at a meeting also asked the party high-ups to investigate into allegations of criminal activities and corruption against some party leaders and expel them if found guilty.

In the recent interview with a private television channel ATN Bangla, Oli said he would consider to return BNP if Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman confessed their wrongdoings.

The LDP leaders viewed that a cleansing drive inside the party is necessary.

ATM Kamal presided over the meeting at the party's Moghbazar office in the capital.
