Passport office
Shamim Parvez, London, UK
I'm a Non-Resident Bangladeshi, living in Britain for the last 4 years. Now I'm in Bangladesh and recently went to the passport office for my wife's passport. There is corruption and systems loss in this important sector of Bangladesh government. I applied for a passport which normally take 3 days(great lie) but it has been almost 15 days and I haven't got the passport yet. Everything has been done regarding the passport like police verification and the report already reached the passport office but the attendant who is giving information regarding any passport inquiry asked me to come after one week while he was having a carrot and thousands of people were waiting for that particular man. I asked him why he was taking one more week as my passport is urgent and I paid the fees for three days, he just laughed at me and his face became like I had made a great mistake, I don't know why. Anyway, I believe that in this field there is so much corruption from top to bottom level. Besides, there are so many brokers outside. The issue should be addressed by the relevant authorities.
