Rab said on the basis of an intelligence report, a team of the elite force conducted a sudden drive at the village and arrested Santu, son of Abdul Jabbar with the fake notes.

During interrogation Santu confessed that he was an active member of an organised criminal gang involved in manufacturing and marketing of fake notes.

In another operation conducted in Maskatadighi area under Motihar Police Station, another Rab team captured one drug-peddler identified as Iliash Hossain, 22, son of Rupbhan Mondal with 28 bottles of Phensidyl syrup.
