Hayatun Nesa, mother of eminent journalist and columnist late Shamsul Huda, died of old-age complications at her Mohammadpur residence in Dhaka on Friday.She was 85. She left behind three daughters, grandsons and a host of relatives to mourn her death. Hayatun Nesa is the grandmother of Prothom Alo news editor Lazzat Enab Mahsi. She was buried at her family graveyard at Khaturia under Domar upazila in the district. Awami League central leader Asaduzzaman Noor and former lawmaker Dr Hamida Banu Shovha and other local leaders condoled the death of Hayatun Nesa.
