Salman F Rahman is so far the richest person among the persons who submitted their wealth statements to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) with his declared assets worth Tk 105.82 crore.

Yesterday was the last day set by the ACC for the 50 persons in its list of corruption suspects to submit their wealth statements.

M Naser Rahman, son of former finance minister M Saifur Rahman, in his wealth statement declared that he has Tk 1crore in accounts with different foreign banks. He owns a total immovable wealth of Tk 1.28 crore. Three of his cars including a BMW were valued at Tk 33.4 lakh. He also owns a Range Rover valued at Tk 37.5 lakh.

The amount of his other moveable declared wealth is Tk 1.34 crore, while his wife Rezina Naser owns Tk 1.25 crore worth moveable and immoveable properties.

Former communication minister Nazmul Huda in his statement blasted the newspapers for his present situation claiming that he had been victimised by the free newspapers.

Nazmul Huda did not mention the value of his declared wealth while submitting the statement of wealth to the ACC. Unlike others, he did not reveal the amount of money he has in banks. Huda however gave an explanation about the foreign currencies seized by joint forces.

Mirza Abbas owns immoveable properties worth Tk 1.85 crore while the amount of his declared moveable properties is Tk 4.04 crore. His declared bank balance is Tk 4.24 crore.

Afroza Abbas, wife of Mirza Abbas, declared her total wealth to be worth Tk 20.53 crore while Kamala Khatun, mother of Mirza Abbas, claimed to have wealth equivalent to Tk 4.24 crore.

Mohammad Ali Asghar Lobi declared owning two BMW cars worth Tk 40 lakh and Tk 30 lakh. One of his business enterprises, Rupsha Overseas Ltd, has Tk 22.25 crore in a bank account while his personal bank balance is Tk 24.52 crore.

Declared moveable and immoveable properties owned by his wife Khushnood Asghar is Tk 4.2 crore.

Salman F Rahman held shares of 40 companies worth over Tk 103.79 crore. His non-agricultural properties are worth over Tk 88.38 lakh. His inherited non-agricultural properties are worth over Tk 96.91 lakh.

He has a bank balance of over Tk 12.34 lakh in six banks. The amount of his liabilities is over Tk 29.28 crore. The amount of his liabilities he inherited from his mother is almost Tk 29.29 crore.

Salman's wife Syeda Rubaba Rahman owns property worth around Tk 10.58 crore. She has a bank balance of Tk 42.87 lakh.

In his statement, Nazmul Huda showed that he owns a flat in Dhanmondi, which he inherited from his father.

He also owns a Bungalow in Gulshan in the city, which he also received by inheritance. Huda's family owns a flat on the 15th floor of Meherba Plaza.

In Baxibazar, Huda along with his 10 brothers and sisters jointly own six kathas of land and at his village home a two-storied and a three-storied building.

Huda owns five cars including a brand new luxurious Cadillac four-wheel-drive vehicle and a Toyota Crown. Huda, however, did not mention the prices of his cars.

Huda has bank accounts in Woori Bank, Agrani Bank's National Press Club branch, National Bank and Prime Bank. He also holds a credit card from National Bank. He has several accounts under his name, his wife's name and under joint names in Standard Chartered Bank Motijheel branch. He has a bank account in the same branch under his law farm's name as well.

Ontora Selima Huda and Srabonti Ameena Huda, daughters of Huda, jointly own a flat (11th Floor) at Concord Tower in the city's Nazrul Islam Avenue. Younger of the two, Srabonti Ameena has a Daewoo car.

About the foreign currencies seized by the joint forces, barrister Huda said those belong to his wife. She earned the amount as TA/DA, ticket fare, and accommodation expenses while serving as a UN special reporter.

According to the statements submitted, Mosaddek Ali Falu's net wealth amounts to Tk 35.43 crore while Salauddin Quader Chowdhury's Tk 14.85 crore.

Engineer Mosharraf Hossain has property valued at Tk 6 crore, says his statement.

Tariqul Islam's wealth including moveable and immovable properties is worth Tk 2.33 crore.

Iqbal Hasan Mahmud owns property to the tune of Tk 1.60 crore while Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu Tk 3.79 crore. Dulu also owns two houses in Dhaka.

Hafiz Ibrahim, brother of controversial business tycoon Giasuddin Al Mamun has a total wealth of Tk 6.80 crore while his wife Tk 9.50 crore.

ANH Akhter Hossein owns property to the value of Tk 24.99 lakh while his wife Tk 1.34 crore.
