2 Shibir men held in Rangpur

Police have arrested two leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir from Lalbag area in Rangpur town in connection with Friday's clashes on Carmichael College campus. They are Carmichael College unit Shibir secretary Alamigir Hossain and its former president Zahinur Alam, who is also president of Nilphamari district unit of Shibir. Police said, Friday's clashes with Chhatra League took place as Shibir activists attacked them on the campus.
