Six Indian citizens held in Sherpur

Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) arrested six Indian citizens at Burunga in Nalitabari in Sherpur district on Thursday.On information, members of Burunga BDR Camp raided the house of one Noushen Marak, a Garo, at Burunga and arrested the Indian citizens. Noushen and his son Inrul Marak were also arrested, BDR sources said. The arrestees were sent to Burunga BDR Camp and were later shifted to Mymensingh 45 Rifles Battalion headquarters for interrogation, sources added. Locals said the Indian citizens, Garo men hailed from Meghalaya, didn't have any passport who crossed the border to see their relative Noushen. However, BDR is yet to publish their identities till filing of this report yesterday afternoon.
