The victim, identified as Rubel, son of Abdul Kader of Gilondo village, was a student of class X of Baniajuri Union High School.

Sources said the accident occurred at around 10:00am when the boy was crushed under the wheels of a Paturia-bound speeding bus while he was crossing the road on his way to the school.

However, police could neither seize the bus nor arrest its driver.
