Local journalists greeted Tipu when he was released from the jail in the evening after First Class Magistrate of Nilphamari Anamul Haq granted him the bail.

The Star correspondent was arrested on March 21 after Biswajit Bhoumik Bapi, general secretary of Nilphamari Unit of Bangladesh Fertilizer Association, lodged a complaint against him.
