SI arrested in Sylhet while taking bribe

Joint forces yesterday arrested a sub-inspector of special branch of police while he was allegedly taking Tk 50,000 as bribe at his house in Sylhet city.Police said businessman Mizan Aziz Chowdhury sent the money through his man to Derik Stephen Bhuiyan, a sub-inspector of district SB, at about 5 pm. As Derik received the money at his rented house in South Surma area, joint forces men caught him red handed. Derik is being interrogated, police said.
