Even many beautiful roads have become repulsive because of speed- breakers, for instance Manik Miah Avenue and the road of Dhaka University. We, the general public, cannot understand the causes behind this situation. Many people are questioning why such things occur and for whose interest? Doesn't this take place due to the inefficiency of the people who work in the departments concerned?

Now it is observed that many slim speed-breakers have been constructed on the highways. We can understand that these speed-breakers have been constructed to slow the speed of vehicles or to stop the drowsing of drivers to avoid road accidents. But the reality is that drivers of heavy vehicles never control or slow the speed of their vehicles before the speed-breakers, and so the passengers and vehicles face fatty jerks. Of course, the drivers of light vehicles follow the rules and so it takes them a longer time to reach their destination because of an interrupted journey.

The authorities concerned should look into the matter.
