Water Crisis
11 complaint centres to be set up in city


The government has decided to set up 11 complaint centres at Secretariat and in different zones of Dhaka Wasa for emergency water supply to crisis-prone areas this summer.

It was decided at an emergency meeting at LGRD Ministry with Adviser M Anwarul Iqbal in the chair.

The meeting also decided that water-related complaints could be dropped in 10 regional centres of Dhaka City Corporation apart from the Wasa and Secretariat complaint centres.

Ten complaints centres of Dhaka Wasa will remain open round the clock while that of Dhaka City Corporation and the Secretariat only during the office hours.

The Secretariat complaint centre is located at the Water Supply Branch of Local Government Department (Phone: 7160370, 01819238737).
