Munshiganj district yesterday.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sirajdikhan Police Station Mahe Alam said the landslide occurred at around 12:30pm when they started to dig a pond at West Rashunia village under the upazila in the afternoon.

The labourers died on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Mosfek,38, Shaju Miah,21, and Helal,31, of Fulbaria in Mymensingh.

The injured labourers alleged that they were pressed by the owner of the pond to dig it in a rainy weather so deep that its bank collapsed on them.

Mota Jahan is now absconding.
