Thai auto sales drop 15pc in Mar
Afp, Bangkok
Thai auto sales continued to plunge in March, dropping 15 percent from a year earlier on sluggish consumer confidence and rising oil prices, an industry group said Tuesday. Sales dropped for the third month in a row, causing first quarter sales volume to plummet 18.7 percent, said Toyota Motor Thailand, which compiles the figures. Auto sales in March stood at 56,021 units, following a decline of 18.4 percent in February. Car sales plunged to a four-year low of 38,643 in January.
