Train derails on Dhaka-Ctg route

Train services on Dhaka-Chittagong route were disrupted for over three hours as two compartments of a goods train derailed yesterday.Railway sources said the bogies of a Chittagong-bound goods train from Dhaka veered off the track in between Gunobati and Sharshardi rail stations at about 12:00noon. No one was hurt in the accident. On information, a salvage train from Laksam rushed to the spot and pulled off the bogies. The train communication on the route resumed at about 3:30pm. Another report from Thakurgaon adds: Train communication on Thakurgaon-Dinajpur route remained suspended for three days following the derailment of a number of bogies of two trains on Sunday and Monday.
