The court disconnected the illegal power supply lines at the two establishments, filed two cases and summoned seven persons in this connection.

According to sources, the mobile court in a drive led by Power Development Board (PDB) Magistrate Mohiuddin Al Faruq found a five-storey building Mozaffar Mansion, and two two-story buildings as pilfering electricity through illegal connections bypassing meters at Mogaltuli area under Double Mooring Police Station.

Mozaffar Ahmad Sawdagar owned the buildings and was stealing power depriving PDB of revenue for long.

The court filed a case accusing Mozaffar's five sons identified as Anwar Hossain, Arshad Hossain, Haider Hossain, Sajjad Hossain and Shawkat Hossain Kamru and summoned them before the court.

The court in another drive unearthed another incident of pilferage of electricity evading PDB bills at BM Steel Mill of Sitakunda Industrial Area and filed a case against the owner and manager of the mill.
