Body recovered

Police recovered body of a rickshaw-puller from a paddy field at Sadardia Chak area at Mahmudpur union in Araihazar upazila yesterday. The victim was identified as Abdul Haq alias Hoqqa, 35, a rickshaw-puller. His body was sent to the Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Kazi Mahfuzul Karim, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Araihazar Police Station, said Haq, son of Kalu Mia of Viti Kallanadi village of the union, had worked at a residential hotel in Dhaka before he became a rickshaw-puller. Haq, also father of four daughters, went missing after he went out of his house on Monday noon, he said, adding that investigation is going on in this regard.
