Storing potato

It is good that the government is finally defining 'hoarding'. This will be an indication to the businessmen what they should and should not do.We have started storing potato in cold storages for off season table potato and next years 'seed'. Table potato will be in market in June to October and cultivators will take delivery of seed potato from October to December. This is a normal practice in any cold storage. I would, therefore, urge upon the commerce ministry to issue directions to all concerned so that we can store potato in cold storages without any misunderstanding.
