Why Jaywalking?

There is no overbridge in between Khilket and Kakoli overbridge. Ultimately, pedestrians are bound to jaywalk while crossing the road and it results in many mishaps. Nowadays some speed-breakers are appearing on this road but are they enough to prevent accidents ? Yes, they might reduce the number of accidents but can't guarantee that no mishap will take place. Many accidents have taken place so far and many people have lost their lives on this road.Pedestrians have to wait for a long time to cross the road, so it's time consuming too. The authorities concerned should look into the matter and take such steps as will enable people to cross the road safely.
