Nazrul artistes honours Sohrab Hossain and Sudhin Das

Nazrul Sangeet Shilpi Parishad (NSSP), an organisation of Nazrul artistes, celebrated the 87th and 77th birth anniversaries of Nazrul exponents Sohrab Hossain and Sudhin Das respectively (both were born in April)National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam enriched the collection of Bangla songs with his creative genius. Gifted artistes like Sohrab Hossain and Sudhin Das have contributed immensely to preserving and performing Nazrul songs for over half a century. Artistes of NSSP felicitated the dedicated artistes with bouquets at the event. A short discussion followed. Dr Rafiqul Islam (chairman, Nazrul Institute trustee board), Fatema Tuz Zohra, Bulbul Moholanbish, M A Mannan, Nashid Kamal, Sujit Mustafa, Khilkhil Kazi (granddaughter of Kazi Nazrul Islam), members of the organisation and Nazrul Institute trustees were present at the event. The programme was held at the Nazrul Institute on April 16 at the Kabibhaban auditorium, Dhanmondi.
