Khagrachhari Hill District Council (KHDC) welcomed the NDC team at a meeting held at its conference room. KHDC chairman Monindra Lal Tripura presided while Commodore Mohammad Muniruzzaman and Air Commodore Mahamud Hasan were present as special guests.

In his presidential address, Monindra Lal Tripura said Khagrachhari District Council wants to remove poverty, illiteracy and superstitions from the traditional indigenous society in the hill district.

KHDC is ready to welcome investors from home and abroad who want to set up industries for welfare of poor indigenous and Bangla speaking people here. We also encourage investors to set up small and cottages industrieshere, he said. Later, the NDC team was briefed about the activities of KHDC including its source of fund, organogram and manpower.
