Depression over Bay crosses Myanmar coast

The depression over the east central Bay and its adjoining area moved northeastwards and crossed Myanmar coast yesterday noon.

It is likely to move north-eastwards further and weaken gradually, said a Met office bulletin.

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Mongla have been advised to lower the cautionary signal.

All fishing boats and trawlers over the north Bay have been advised to keep close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
