Sylhet Bomb Blast
No progress in probe yet


There has been no progress in investigation into the May 1 bomb blast at the Sylhet Railway Station despite passing of five days after the incidence.

However, the man, picked up for interrogation from the nearby slum on the following day of the bomb blast, has been sent to the jail hajat. He will be produced before the magistrate court today and hearing to the remand petition submitted by the police will be held, sources said.

Sylhet Kotowali police picked up Qari Al-Amin hailing from Bade Halenga village under Kalmakanda upazila of Netrakona district has been in Sylhet for months, sources added.

He has served as security guard at a private bank in Sylhet.
