Bombs recovered in Satkhira

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Thursday evening recovered eight live bombs, bomb making powder and four bullets from a house at Ellarchar in Sadar upazila. Acting on a tip-off, Rab-6 from Khulna headquarters raided the house and recovered the bombs, powder and ammunition left by the criminals, sources said, adding that they fled with their firearms sensing the presence of Rab members. Law enforcers suspect that an organised group of criminals having links with either an outlawed extremist party or an outlawed Islamist outfit brought the bombs and firearms to launch destructive activities in the district.
