Rape, teasing of teenaged girls condemned

Karmojibi Nari, a rights organisation, in statement yesterday condemned rape of a retarded adolescent girl in Akhaura and teasing of some derailed youths at Shyampur in the city that compels another teenaged girl to commit suicide.Rina, a class seven student of East Dholaipar of Shyampur committed suicide on Tuesday following repeated threats and teasing by the caretaker of their house Harunur Rashid and some other local hoodlums. Meantime, a retarded teenaged girl was allegedly raped by Masud Mia of Purbapara village of Dhorkhar Union in Akhaura when she was alone. The statement demanded immediate arrest of the criminals and exemplary punishment to them so that no one could dare to commit such heinous deeds in future.
