Farm owner shot dead in city


Unidentified gunmen shot a dairy farm owner dead at Pallabi in the capital yesterday.

The dead was identified as Mansur Mallik, 45, a resident of Mirpur-10.

A group of criminals sprayed bullets on him around 10:30pm while he was talking to his employees in front of his farm near his house, police source said.

Locals rushed him to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the doctor declared him dead.

Meanwhile, two rickshaw-pullers were injured by bullets when criminals fired shots targeting a private car passenger in front of Sony Cinema in Mirpur around 8:00pm.

They were admitted to DMCH.
