New permanent representative of Bangladesh to UN

Bangladesh Ambassador to the Netherlands Ismat Jahan has been appointed Ambassador and Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations, New York.A career diplomat, Ismat Jahan joined the Foreign Service in 1982 and served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in various positions with specific assignments. She worked as Counsellor, Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the UN, New York, Minister, Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the UN, Geneva, and Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to New Delhi, said a Foreign Ministry release.
