One killed in gas cylinder explosion


A CNG filling station worker was killed and three others were injured as a gas cylinder of a CNG-run bus exploded at Chandra in Kaliakoir upazila in the early hours of yesterday.

The dead was identified as Arif, 28 of Kanchanpur village of the upazila.

Sources said the gas cylinder of the bus exploded while it was being refuelled at Viking CNG filling station, leaving four workers of the of the station injured.

Of the injured, Arif died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital while the others were admitted to local clinics.
