The other accused are Sylhet City BNP President Ariful Haque Chowdhury, Moulvibazar Municipality Chairman and District BNP General Secretary Foyzul Karim, the then sub-divisional engineer of Roads & Highways Monwar Sadique, executive engineer Shafiqul Islam, executive engineer Md Khaleque Miah and District BNP leader Wali Siddique.

Of the chargesheeted accused, Naser Rahman, son of former finance minister M Saifur Rahman, Foyzul Karim and Ariful Haque are now in jail.

Police filed the charge-sheet with Sylhet Sadar Cognizance Court.

Contractor Nuruzzman filed the case on February 16 this year. Although the name of former finance minister Saifur Rahman was in the complaint, it was dropped while recording the case. Nuruzzaman and 10 others have been shown witnesses in the case.
