Valuables worth Tk 2 lakh looted

A gang of robbers looted valuables worth about Tk two lakh from the passengers of a Nababganj-bound bus and injured six others who tried to protest their activities on Thursday night. Sources said the robbers, on board in the guise of passengers, started looting the valuables as soon as the bus of Keraniganj Sitting Service crossed Tulsikhali Bridge at Sirajdikhan upazila at about 10:00pm. Shankar Mondol, one of the injured, said the dacoits left the bus at Kharsur area after about 45 minutes. Though hundreds of villagers rushed to the spot hearing the passengers screaming, they could not tress the dacoits.
