Robbers loot gold ornaments, Tk 40,000 from city house

A gang of robbers looted gold ornaments and Tk 40,000 from a house at Khilgaon in the capital yesterday.The gang of three youths entered the house of Mamtaj Khanom, headmistress of Ali Ahmad School at Goran, at around 1:15pm after ringing the door bell. They first looked for the headmistress and then searched for a specific file. They also stabbed the son of Mamtaj in his left hand when he refused to give them the key of an almirah. The robbers then searched drawers and other places of the house and took away the money and gold ornaments weighing about 10 tolas. A case was filed with Khilgaon police station last night.
