Two bodies recovered in city


Police recovered the body of an unidentified woman in the city yesterday.

On information from the locals, police rushed to Matual Mirdha Bari area at Jatrabari and found the body in a paddy field.

Police said clad in jeans pant and white T-shirt, the victims' hands and legs were tied with rope while a scarf was also tied around her neck.

The body was sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College morgue for autopsy.

Police also recovered a floating decomposed body of an unidentified newborn from a waterbody at Tejgaon Industrial Area.

Sources said locals informed the police after they saw the body floating on the jheel.
