In presence of President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Iajuddin Ahmed, the navy and air chiefs adorned the army chief with the rank of general, the army and air chiefs adorned the navy chief with the rank of vice admiral and the army and navy chiefs adored the air chief with the rank of air marshal at the Armed Forces Division.

Among others, Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Lt General M Jahangir Alam Choudhury, Military Secretary to the President Major General M Aminul Karim, Director General of SSF Major General Sheikh M Monirul Islam, Director General of DGFI Major General Golam Mohammad, Defence Secretary Kamrul Hasan and Secretary to the President M Sirajul Islam were present.

Later, the chiefs of the tree services made a courtesy call on the president and supreme commander of the Armed Forces.

Earlier in the morning, Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Major General M Jahangir Alam Choudhury, General Officer Commanding of the 9th Infantry Division Major General Masud Uddin Chowdhury and National Defence College Commandant Major General Abu Tayeb Mohammad Zahirul Alam were adorned with the rank of lieutenant general in presence of Army Chief General Moeen U Ahmed.

Besides, Deputy Director General of DGFI Brigadier General Golam Mohammad, Brigadier General M Ashab Uddin and Composite Brigade Commander Brigadier General AKM Muzahid Uddin have been adorned with the rank of major general, said an ISPR press release.
