Reflect convention held in Cox's Bazar
A two-day 'Reflect Convention 2007' jointly organised by the Reflect development unit of ActionAid Bangladesh, the Society for Participatory and Development (SPED) and the Reflect Practitioners Forum of Bangladesh (RPEB) ended in Cox's Bazar yesterday, says a press release.

Some 350 participants from more than 65 partners organisations of ActionAid Bangladesh, members of 62 Lokokendra (organisation for the poor and marginalised) and representatives of CARE Bangladesh, Brac, National Forum of Organisations Working with the Disabled, CODEC, Ain O Shalish Kendra, CAMPE, Asroy and representatives of ActionAid India and Kenya took part in the convention.

Shoaib Siddiqui, interim country director of ActionAid Bangladesh, said that 'Reflect' is an endeavour to analyse and resolve problem in a participatory manner that aims to change society.

'Reflect' has gone far beyond its basic concept of adult literacy and its achievement is immense, he added.

The convention covered discussion on various issues in several sessions.

On the final day, Unique Contribution Award 2006 was given away to 20 Reflect circle facilitators and 10 Reflect trainers in recognition of their work.
