Two criminals arrested with pistol, 129 bullets

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two criminals with a foreign-made pistol and 129 rounds of bullets at Sutrapur in the city yesterday. The arrestees were identified as Kamrul Islam Sabuj, 25, and Mohammad Nure Alam, 23. Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-10 raided the house of Shabuj at Narinda in the early hours and arrested him and Alam after they found a packet containing an US-made pistol and 129 rounds of bullets under a pillow. During the interrogation, Sabuj and Alam disclosed that they were accomplices of a notorious robber Shahid and were carrying out criminal activities in Sutrapur area for a long time. Rab team handed them over to the Sutrapur Police Station.
