Insurance official held with fake notes in Comilla

Local people caught an insurance official and seized 12 fake notes, including one of Tk 500 denomination, from his possession at Gazirhat under Muradnagar upazila on Thursday noon.Police said Moulana Abdus Salam, branch manager of Padma Life Insurance Company at Maddhya Badda in Dhaka, was caught red handed when he gave a fake Tk 500 note to a shop owner after buying a food item. The locals also searched his body and seized 11 more fake notes of Tk 50 denomination and handed him over to police. A case has been filed in this connection.
