IUT Vice Chancellor Professor Dr M Fazli Ilahi and senior officials received the envoy on the university campus in Gazipur, said a press release.

The ambassador was apprised of the objectives and activities of the university and progress made so far for its overall development.

Nawabi met heads of the departments, members of the faculties and senior officials of the university and exchanged views with them.

He was taken around the campus and shown various facilities developed so far to impart quality education and training to the students from different OIC countries, the release said.

The Afghan envoy also met the students of different countries and inquired about their progress here.

He mentioned the devastation caused by the war in Afghanistan and sought help for the educational institutions in his country.
