Science and Technology is not an issue anywhere in Bangladesh, not in national budget discussions, not in newspapers and talk shows of TV channels, not also in the scientific communities etc. Neither the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences nor other scientific professional organisations try to draw the attention of the government to give due importance to scientific research. The present CTG has taken many initiatives. There is discussion on reform in every sector but science and technology. Shouldn't we discuss our backwardness in science and technology?Let's try to make Science and Technology an issue in Bangladesh.
