US morality
Roy Meeton, London, England
I have been quite impressed with the daily pronouncements from the USA as to how Bangladesh should be run. This is very generous of them. However, I wonder why through all the years of massive corruption by elected governments, the US had nothing to say. I would like to ask the US what it is they dislike so much about an anti-corruption drive? Is it that the opportunities for US companies to receive graft from Bangladeshi agencies are drying up? Or could it be that having shown the world their standards of human rights in Guantanamo and Baghdad, they want to spread their wisdom to Bangladesh?
