Nayar's article

Please see the write-up "The unwanted brew" by Kuldip Nayar published in your daily on 26 May. I have no quarrel with secularism of Kuldip Nayar but I am surprised at his comment on the Turkish political situation. He writes "The tendency all over the world is to mix religion with politics. Turkey is a brave exception, where people marched through the streets to avow their support to secularism"

Who on earth does not know that in Turkey in the name of secularism, the army dominates the show; there have been attempted coups at least three times in the last two decades. The processions have been orchestrated by the army there.

Kuldip Nayar has failed to defend the democratic rights of the parliament and the people's representatives to elect their president.
