Four markets to be set up in city

In a bid to keep the prices of essentials within the reach of common people, the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has decided to establish four wholesale and retail markets at Aminbazar, Tejgaon, Lalbagh and Jatrabari in the city. LGRD Secretary Safar Raj Hossain said this while talking to traders and market owners' association leaders during his visit to Jatrabari kitchen market in the city yesterday. He said a land has been selected for Aminbazar market and that a government wholesale market will be established at Jatrabari this month.
