New MD of Chevron Bangladesh
Steve Wilson has been appointed managing director of Chevron Bangladesh effective from yesterday, says a press release.

Prior to his new assignment, he held the post of general manager of New Opportunities & Commercial Development at Lagos in Nigeria.

Wilson has succeeded Andrew L. Fawthrop, who is relocating in Lagos to take up the position of general manager of Asset-Management.

Wilson joined Chevron Corporation, a leading global energy company, in 1985 as a reservoir engineer.

The new Chevron Bangladesh chief is optimistic about his new workplace and says, "I am truly impressed with the achievement of Chevron Bangladesh employees in recent years. The successful completion of a major capital project like Bibiyana is a testimony to the dedication and competence of the Bangladeshi workforce."

Chevron Bangladesh, the local chapter of Chevron Corporation, is currently producing natural gas from Jalalabad and Moulvibazar and Bibiyana fields.
