Police said a Chittagong-bound truck rammed a Dhaka-bound private car at Kalakochua in Burichang at about 7:00am, leaving four car passengers injured.

One of the injured died at Comilla Combined Military Hospital. The identity of the dead could not be known immediately.

The other injured were admitted to Comilla Medical College Hospital.

In another incident, an unidentified man was killed and two others were injured at 7:10am when a covered van hit a private car at Dawsar in Chouddagram upazila.

The injured were admitted to Feni Sadar hospital.
