Anti-corruption body formed in Shyamnagar

A six-member Shyamnagar Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee was formed at a meeting held yesterday at the local UNO office. The committee is headed by Principal Ashek E Elahi and advocate Zahurul Haque Babu as convenor and member secretary respectively. Other members are freedom fighter Devi Ranjan, Chandrika Bannerjee and Abdullah Al Faruque. Shyamnagar UNO Dilip Kumar Banik presided over the meeting attended by local elite. UNO Dilip Kumar Banik later told this correspondent that the committee was formed on orders from Satkhira Deputy Commissioner.
