CTG and politics
Haque, Engineer, London
I am a regular reader of DS. It is now evident and crystal clear that the present government has taken a firm stand against corruption. I would like to hail these initiatives taken by the present regime which were vital to eliminating the evil forces and their misdeeds from society. Simultaneously, we are very much concerned about our beloved land's future. It seems the regime is now engaged in tarnishing the image of some political leaders. It is alarming. Unacceptable. If we assume that the present government will hold a free and fair election and install a new government ignoring the main political stream in Bangladesh, could we think that all the problems will be resolved? So, I would like to express my opinion from overseas that the present government should keep a close contact with the mainstream political parties, accommodate them in this process alongside the anti-corruption drive, in order to establish the rule of law and democracy.
