Corruption

It's high time Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia leave politics. We've been voting for them for the last fifteen years, hoping that they would do something for this country. But in return what did we get?

Corruption. Not normal corruption, but a redefined version. From setting fire to buses, to taking bribes to protect murderers, to encouraging violence, to extortion. Their family members and friends robbed and looted us, and prevented this country from developing properly. If they had not stolen all that money, who knows how developed this country could have become by now? But why would they worry about such things? On the one hand, we have the home minister protecting murderers in exchange for cash, and on the other hand , we have the former prime minister allegedly involved in dubious deals. We read about the extortion cases against Tarique and Mamun, and we also witnessed the extortions by AL men. It seems there was some kind of competition between the two parties in this regard!

The two leaders kept on reminding us what their father/husband did for this country. My question is, what did you do for our country? Because of the mess this country has been in for the last fifteen years, talented people are leaving the country to settle abroad, as they do not see a good future here. They were disillusioned with the lack of job opportunities, as only people with the proper 'connections' could get employment. Whereas education is the backbone of society, these two parties got the university students involved in violent politics. What kind of a country are we living in? Allah has given us a once in a lifetime opportunity now to save this country. If we miss this opportunity, we may never get a second chance.

I would, therefore, like to request each citizen to vote responsibly in the next election.
